Excellent travel guide to Coorg-the Scotland of India

I am very happy to note that my good friend Krishna Kumar aka KK has authored his first travel guide titled, Explore Coorg-the Scotland of India". It is heartening to note that he has listed his book in Amazon.

I have known KK for some years now. He maintains a travel blog called, "Indian Columbus".

His book on Coorg explores every nook and corner of the hill. Since he has personally visited all the places of Coorg, he is able to give first hand information on places to see, where to stay and what to eat. The book has many beautiful pictures of Coorg.

Some of the places in Coorg covered by KK such as Abbi Falls, Tala Cauvery, are familiar to me when I visited Coorg long back. The path to Abby falls is surrounded by coffee plantations.

I remember he planned to start a blog on cameras. I hoe he starts it soon.

I sincerely wish his becomes a best selling travel guide in Amazon.

Unique plastic luggage tags.

These are plastic tags that can be tied on luggage while going out of station. But how we are supposed to convey the airlines people to use these tags instead of theirs.

These plastic luggage tags have more space for imprinting our full contact information. Also, if we like any particular color design and use them on our baggage, it will be easy to retrieve from the luggage arrival belt.

It costs $10 for a set of 6 tags at Wishing Fish

Resources for your vacation planning.

Even though the holiday season has ended in most of the countries, there is a second holiday for the Indians living in India starting from 13th January and lasting till 17th January.

As a freelance holiday consultant, I would say the Indians are the poorest holiday planners in the world. They would assume the entire planning is completed once they book their train tickets (yes, not many fly).

In spite of the wonderful online facilities for any kind of holiday, rarely they are used. Planning your next vacation online doesn’t require big effort but only a basic knowledge of hundreds of resourceful websites. Even a first time user of the Internet can easily and quickly plan his vacation by using basic search terms.

I came across a relevant article recently titled “Planning your next vacation online” and I would say this one article can be used as an excellent tutorial by everyone who lacks ideas to plan his next family vacation.

The article is nicely written citing various online resources for holiday planning.

Some of the resources mentioned in the article:

  • Holiday destination search engines
  • City search engines
  • Finding and using maps of cities and countries
  • Weather conditions of the places that one plans to visit
  • Purchasing discount flight tickets
  • Distance finder
  • Intercity transportation like underground train services
  • Holiday package offers
  • Searching for sails and cruises

Well, isn’t that a complete guide to plan your next vacation?

Have you enjoyed private ocean view?

The expanse of ocean may not offer any privacy in normal conditions but for a traveler to Riviera Maya, it is different. Ask any one who has experienced the pleasures of riviera maya family vacations and he will describe how he enjoyed the intimacy of ocean view from the beach beds that have retractable curtains.

You won’t find them in a run of the mill sea side hotel but only in any one the five signature resorts operated by Karisma Hotels whose concept of luxury has invited thousands of travelers from the U.S. and Europe.

How ‘swim-up rooms’ and ‘sunset margaritas’ served by a dedicated butler sound to you for a sample of service offered by Karisma Hotels?

Oh, you say they don’t suit your style?

Then how about ice top bars that serve artisanal tequilas?

Not impressed?

Have you ever spent quality time in a spa where you can have aromatic bath? If that is your taste, then book a luxury suit in Karisma’s Azul Blue. Call 212-629-8445 to book your accommodation.

Bahia Pentempich beach in Puerto Moreles.

For a lot of loyalists of Bahia Pentempich beach in Puerto Moreles in Cancun, Mexico, the news is good. The Azul Beach Hotel Resort in Riviera Maya
has re-opened this season.

You know that resort was shut down for renovation and now they have opened with a bang. It is claimed as the first boutique all-inclusive resort.

If there was one thing that attracted a lot of romantic cancun vacation planners in Azul Beach, it was the calm and serene atmosphere. Fortunately, nature always retains all its gifts.

Karisma Hotels’ s Azul Blue Beach Resort is thronged by travelers from all over the world for its electric Blue Restaurant where ‘never heard of’ type of drink is served.

In the frozen bar, as many as 30 different Tequilas, including AƱejo, Reposado and Blanco, are served.
