Product liability claims due to harmful side effects of anti-depressants hit the news first in 2005. Since then one or the other depression cure medicines caused women to deliver babies with certain birth defects. The latest to enter the court rooms is Celexa lawsuit.
Celexa is an anti-depression medicine prescribed to pregnant women who were affected pregnancy anxiety. Some of them gave birth to babies with fatal birth defects that include cardiac (heart), pulmonary (lung), neural-tube defects (brain and spinal cord), craniosynostosis (skull defect), infant omphalocele (abdominal wall defects), and club foot (one or both feet turn downward and inward) and so on.
After due investigations, if the doctors were convinced that Celexa was the culprit, the victims were asked to approach O’Hanlon, McCollom & Demerath, personal injury law firm that handle even the most complex products liability claims.
