Voice controlled LED lamp.

Every purists would say that technological advances will make the human kind lazier leading to heaps of flesh around every part of the body.

But the youth today don't seem to care and in fact scorn the purists.

Here is one more invention that will be lauded by the majority of the world today. You can switch off a lamp located across 10 meters away with your voice. Don't you think the laziness is stretched to the extreme or 10 meters?

Of course, I too would buy this scientifically advanced gadget even though I consider myself as a non-lazy person. After all, won't it be convenient to say 'off' and the light goes off?

The lamp is USB powered and has a total of 12 bright LED lights.

Playable electronic guitar on a t-shirt.

This is a real electronic guitar that is embedded on this t-shirt. No, it is not a toy too. I know such toys printed on t-shirts play some pre-tuned musical notes.

This is a real life electronic guitar that you can play with your hands.
The t-shirt comes with a chord guide and it is very to play the guitar as each button serves a note.

Hey, there is a mini amplifier too with built-in volume control. What else can you ask?

May be the price?

Think Geek will answer your questions.

USB fish.

It is nothing that can swim mate. It is a USB drive in the form a rubberised fish.
Looks cute and different. Why should USB drives look so banal? I would buy it anytime. I like things that are different.

This can also be a wonderful gift.

Hand held weather station for golfers.

Ok, why only golfers? Because for obvious reasons-what else? Only golfers are concerned about the weather that may act as a spoil sport and dampen their spirit as well as the golf course.

I know and heard about golfers listening intently to weather forecasts at the start of their day and also a hour before they leave for the golf course.

This hand held weather forecasting device will be very useful for them. The Kestrel 4000 is the next generation of weather monitoring that can tell you about major environmental conditions accurately.

Refurbished iPhones.

Are they worth buying at $99-these refurbished Apple iPhones are tempting me to swipe my credit card online.
But I am afraid of its quality even though the site that sells these refurbished iPhones is none other than the at&t, the largest wireless company in the United States, with more than 72.9 million subscribers.

I also read that they have the widest 3G network. But I am in India where 3G technology is still far off. So what I am going to with a 3G iPhone?

Actually, I had this crazy idea that refurbished means repaired. But at&t has thrown fresh insight on the meaning of refurbished. "Refurbished phones are previously owned devices that have been unused or lightly used and returned during the 30-day trial period".

Hmmm.. may be, just may be...

Chill your wine without ice.

Smoke without fire? Chillness without ice?

All such traditional proverbs are being broken today scientifically so that no one can say it as chance.

You have promised your son that you will have a bottle of chilled champagne for dinner. What to do when your fridge breaks down at the (im)proper time?

Here is cool(!) gadget that chills your wine bottle without the help of ice! This is an electronic wine chiller hat uses Peltier thermoelectric technology. What is that? (Smile)

When it is working, it shows what is the current temperature and what the target temperature is! If in case you are over enthusiastic and chills the wine more than the optimum, this gadget also warms the wine a bit.

If you are wondering if your bottle bottle fits in the gadget... It takes in 40 different wine bottles on its back but of course one at a time.

It costs $99.95 and is available at Brookstone

Chocolate Calculator.

How dare someone show it to me! I am math teacher by profession and I am advised to lure difficult students to play with this calculator shaped like a chocolate. As they develop a liking to play with the numbers, their animosity to math is expected to subside.

However, I liked the look of the calculator. For a moment, I too was deceived with its chocolate bar look. This $4 instrument is solar powered. I heard that it even wears a chocolate scent to it!

Ah, it is called Choc-U-lator.

What a weird concept!
