Coffee lovers in India should be eagerly awaiting the opening of the first Starbucks outlet. Mumbaikars are lucky as they get the first chance to taste the world's best coffee. Tata Global Beverages Limited has tied up with Starbucks.
Starbucks has nearly 18,000 outlets in as many as 60 countries. Our neighbor China has 700 Starbucks outlets. India is latest addition.
I have heard about Starbucks coffee a lot and even wrote a couple of blog posts and got paid for them. Personally, I wonder how the Madras coffee lovers would react to Starbucks coffee as I believe the standard of coffee in Tamilnadu is very high already.
However, I don't know whether local Government would allow global retail outlets to start their business.
May be I can go over to Bombay just to taste the Starbucks coffee as it would be much cheaper than going to China.
Initially, the coffee range include:
* Starbucks’ espresso-based beverages,
* Starbucks VIA Ready Brew
* Starbucks Reserves
* Tata Tazo tea
* Himalayan mineral water (products of TGBL).
I believe there are 14 different coffee varieties served at all Starbucks outlets.
